Sipi Falls
Kapchorwa

Sipi Falls is a series of three spectacular waterfalls nestled on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park in Eastern Uganda's Kapchorwa District. Plunging down the volcanic slopes of Mount Elgon, the falls sit in a cool, high-altitude setting with views stretching across the Karamoja plains and Lake Kyoga. The name Sipi comes from Sep, an indigenous wild banana-like plant with medicinal properties that grows along the banks of the Sipi River.

Situated in the green, rolling hills of the Western Highlands, it serves as a center for agricultural research and tea production.
